1. Open the relevant Moodle course page.

  2. Click the Turnitin assignment link. This will open the Turnitin assignment submission list.

  3. Click the pencil icon Edit settings button beside Student submissions. This opens the Turnitin Edit assignment menu. Edit settings button highlighted

  4. Scroll down to the Grading and Feedback Settings section and go to the Rubric section. Select Attach Rubric.Grading and feedback settings section displayed and Attach rubric button highlighted

  5. In the Attach new rubric menu select Create rubric.

  6. Select Create New Rubric and press the Next button.

  7. In the Create rubric menu, provide a title for your qualitative rubric in the Rubric title section. Then select the Qualitative rubric option. Subsequently, edit the number of criterion rows and scale columns below. Ensure to press the Next button.

  8. To enter the title of the qualitative rubric select the pencil icon. For the title and description for each criterion and scale, click on the appropriate fields and enter the new information.   9.  To add extra rows of criteria, click on the plus (+) icon to the right of the Criteria header:

  10.  To add extra scale columns, click on the plus (+) icon to the right of the Scales header:

  11. When all the criterion, scales, and cells have been edited click Save to save the rubric.
