To create rubrics using Microsoft Excel:

  1. Open the relevant Moodle module page.
  2. Click on the Turnitin assignment and follow instructions for How do I edit an existing Turnitin Feedback Studio Assignment.
  3. Select the Edit settings button.

  4. Select the Rubric tab, and click select Create RubricCreate rubric button highlighted in the rubric tab
  5. Select the option to Import Rubric from file and then click Next.Import rubric from file selected with next button highlighted
  6. In the Create rubric space, select the Download Rubric Template option.Download rubric template highlighted
  7. A panel will pop up prompting you to select a rubric template to download. The options include:

    • Custom Rubric
    • Grading Form
    • Qualitative Rubric
    • Weighted Non-Range Rubric
    • Weighted Range Rubric
    • And All Rubric Templates

  8. You will be prompted to save the custom rubric excel file into your Downloads folder or a folder of your choice.
  9. The custom rubric excel file can be edited within in excel and then imported back into Turnitin Feedback Studio, following guidance from article - How do I share my rubric with colleagues?
