You can use a grading form to provide free form feedback and scores to evaluate student work faster for a list of criteria.
Note: Ensure that you have created the Turnitin assignment using Select Content.
To create a grading form or use an existing grading form, please follow instructions in our knowledge base article - creating a grading form.


  1. Once your grading form has been created, in the rubric tab select your created grading form to use on the Turnitin assignment by clicking on the circle beside the grading form title and pressing Save assignment.Created grading form selected with save assignment button highlighted
  2. Scroll down in the submissions list and click on the pencil icon under the Grade tab.

  3. After a few moments the Turnitin Feedback Studio opens. Select the Rubrics tab where the relevant grading form you have attached will appear as empty for grading.

  4. You can open the grading form in full-view in a separate tab.

  5. Enter scores for each criteria and any comments required and then select the Apply to grade button. This will add up each score to create a final grade.

Note: Remember that grades and feedback are not visible to students until the assignment Feedback Release Date has passed.
