You can use a grading form to provide free form feedback and scores to evaluate student work for a list of criteria.


  1. To open the grading form while viewing a student paper, click the rubric icon:

  2. Note: A grading form will only appear if there is a grading form attached to the assignment.

  3. To grade with the grading form, type the feedback for each of the selected criteria:

    The boxes where lecturers can enter their feedback in the grading form.
  4. To view the description for each criterion, scroll to the base of the rubric panel:
  5. The descriptions for each criteria are displayed just below the feedback space.
  6. If you have enabled scoring on the grading form, enter your chosen score for each criterion in the scoring field:

    A space for a feedback score to be entered.
  7. Click on the Apply to Grade button at the top of the rubric panel to apply this value to the assignment’s total point value:

    The lecturer can click the apply to grade button to apply this grade to this particular student.

6. Once a grade is applied from the rubric scorecard it will appear in the Grade field at the top right of the document viewer.



Note: Remember that grades and feedback are not visible to students until the assignment post date has passed.
