As of 17/06/2026 Turnitin has
updated assignment feedback to include Audio and Video Summary feedback in the
aim for instructors to personalise feedback
and build stronger connections with
students.
- Navigate to and select the Turnitin assignment you wish to add video summary feedback to a submission within.
- Select the individual Submissions link under the student's name in the submissions list you wish to add audio summary feedback within.
- Click the Feedback menu and press the Summary tab in the Turnitin submission viewer.
- Select the Audio summary button and ensure to toggle the microphone on in the top left corner of your default desktop.
- Select the Record button when ready and a 3 second countdown timer will begin.
- Select the Stop button when audio recording is completed.
- There is a playback button available to hear the audio recording. When satisfied select Save button or a Recycle bin icon to delete your audio recording and start again.
- Processing of your audio recording will take a few moments to complete. When processed your audio feedback will appear in the audio summary space with a green verification pop-up at the bottom left corner that the 'Audio summary saved successfully.' There is still availability of the recycle bin icon.
- If deletion is necessary select the trash icon and press Delete recording in the pop-up window.
