Please ensure you have followed guidance from our knowledge base article "Creating a ranged rubric" before proceeding with this article.

  1. Navigate to the assignment you wish to grade using a Ranged rubric.

  2. Select the Grade button to go directly into submissions to start grading, or access submissions from the submissions tab.

  3. Scroll down and the ranged rubric you have attached will now appear under the Grade section. To provide a larger view of the ranged rubric, click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the ranged rubric.
    Note: Clicking on the expand icon again will direct you back to the grading interface.

  4.  Using Ranged Rubric to provide grades and feedback:
  • Select the appropriate level on the ranged rubric that matches the assignment content. This level will be marked green to signify its selection.

  • Ranged criterion will display a dropdown of the specific scores within the selected level.

  • Provide written feedback in the right column, providing reason for selection of a specific level.

  • Once complete, select Save and show next to continue grading other submissions or press Save changes to exit grading.
