Below is a summary of the key new
features to expect in Moodle:
1. New main banner
design is available on the top
of the screen.
2. My Courses Filters,
Search and Sort by course name
filters are available on
the top of My courses -
Course overview screen.
3. Course Management
Tabs available on the top
of course pages.
4. Enrollment
facilities are available in
separate dropdown
menu in
the Participants tab.
5. Edit Mode toggle
button available on the top right
corner. Edit mode
on is reflected by green highlighted button
and Edit mode off is
reflected in red.
6. Add activity or Resource is available at the end of each section of the course page.
- Activity chooser is
more user friendly with new category tabs
- Starred, Activities,
Resources and Recommended along
with new activity and resource icons. For

Activities and Resources article.
- Ease of moving activities or
resources by dragging
and dropping the activity or resource
where desired on the course page or by
using
the Move functions
available.
7. Open all / Close
all options are available
to expand and retract all sections with ease.
8. Course Index is
available to expand by clicking on the icon on
the top left corner. This allows
for ease of navigation by
allowing users to click through the index to
navigate to a specific section of the course
page, removing the need to scroll through the
course page.
9. Block Panel is
available to expand by clicking on the icon on
the top right corner. This display what
blocks are associated with a course.
10. Help Icon is
available for quick access to Moodle support at all times on the right corner by
clicking
the ? icon.
