To edit a course introduction on your Moodle page.

  1. Navigate to your course page and click on the Edit mode button on the top right of the screen.

  3. Moodle 4.5 has the functionality to move Course Introduction anywhere just through drag and drop. It is recommended to keep Module Introduction as to the top of the Module page so students can see an overview of the course when they click on the course.

  4. Click on the Ellipsis icon (...) on the right of the Module Introduction and then click on the Edit Settings option from the dropdown.

  5. The template provides guidelines of what to update. Update information, as desired in the Text field - note that there are a range of text and multimedia edit options available.

  6. There are additional settings below that can be modified such as Availability and Access Restrictions that primarily will not be needed in the case of a course introduction.

  7. Once complete click on Save and return to course button on the base of the screen.
  8. Save and return to course button
