The import Word File feature within the Moodle Editor is a tool that converts complex .docx and .dotx files into high-quality semantic HTML code. It has the ability to convert larger Word files in a matter of seconds while still maintaining a lot of the formatting such as styles and images. 

To Import a Word file: 
  1. Within the description section of an Assignment or resource, select the toolbar (⋯) option to expand the TinyMCE Editor.

  2. Select the Import Word file icon.

  3. This directs to the File picker menu. Here you can select Choose file under Attachment. Choose file button
  4. Select the Word file you seek to attach from its saved area within your File explorer and click Open.

  5. You can change the Save as description to change from what the Word file name is displaying when you submit the file.

  6. Ensure to click Upload this file when satisfied to include your Word File within the TinyMCE Editor.

  7. The Word file opens out and displays within the TinyMCE editor, where you can make any edits necessary.
