YuJa (pronounced /u.ja/)
is the MIC media management
platform introduced in 2022 to
support the use of media content in teaching,
learning and assessment across the College.
The YuJa platform was selected
as a long-term, flexible yet robust
service to address the expanding
expectations and needs of the College,
bringing the capacity to manage and
distribute media from one location.
Among many other features, the YuJa
platform allows MIC staff and students
to:
- Upload existing media files - audio, video or a range of other formats - to the platform for sharing through other online environments, such as Moodle;
- Create media recordings using the built-in recording tools or the desktop/laptop recording application, allowing several audio and video sources to be captured simultaneously;
- Make adjustments and edits to media content, including the facility to join content files or extract sections from media files as new media;
- Create and curate collections of media content using the cataloguing features, managing sharing permissions and allowing content to be disseminated across various Moodle or other channels;
- Support the use of media through automated captioning, the
attachment of transcript or other
associated files.

can use YuJa at MIC, see the Introduction to
