1. Navigate to the My
Media section of Manage
Media and locate the required video you
wish to edit.
2. Hover over the video and
select edit to access
the YuJa editor.
3. The YuJa editor will
launch in a separate browser
tab, allowing you to edit your media. To make
edits to closed
captions, click on
the Captions button on the
menu ribbon on the left of the video editor.
The captions menu will appear to
the right of this menu ribbon.
4. Press the play button on the
video, located on the
bottom left of the video.
5. As the video plays, read the
captions and edit where
necessary.
Note: YuJa auto captioning often
leaves out
punctuation and can misspell words or have
the text appear at the wrong time
slot.
Edit a
timestamp:
To edit the timestamp for a caption,
place the curser
in the time box and type the correct
time.
Edit
caption
text:
To edit text, place your curser
in the relevant
position in the text box and
edit.
Note: When captioning always
start a new sentence at the
beginning of a text box.
Add a
missing
caption:
1. If a caption is missing and
you need to add text,
drag the time marker to the time you wish
to start your caption.
2. Click Add
Caption at [time] (e.g.,
00:19), at the
bottom left of your screen.
3. A new caption dialogue box
appears. Place your
cursor in the text box and type the
captions you wish to add. Then edit the
end
time for this caption and press Enter on
your keyboard.
Saving
your edited
video:
1. Once you have completed
editing your captions,
click on Save at the top of the
screen.
2. Select Replace
existing
video or Save
as New Video, depending on
your preference.
