See below guidelines for Video Recording using Yuja:

Pre-recording

Prepare transcript and PowerPoint slides, if required, in advance.

Review both transcript and PowerPoint slides in advance of recording. This will limit the amount of complex edits required after recording or need to re-record fully.

Setting up Yuja Video

Stabilise your device on a flat surface. Use a riser to bring your device or webcam up to eye level, if necessary.

Position yourself in the centre of the frame and look at the camera while speaking.

Choose a plain neutral outfit that is in contrast with the background (avoid patterns and light colours if the wall behind you is white)

A Virtual background can be added to the video after it is recorded. If recording a series of video, a consistent background will help with continuity.

Recording Equipment

Use a headset with built in noise reduction.

Position the Microphone at a comfortable distance from your month.

Do a test recording. Adjust the microphone volume if required.

Position the Microphone at the same distance each time you record.

Set the Microphone volume to the same level each time you record.

Always us the same headset on a project as changing recording devices will cause continuity issues.

Choosing a Place to Record

Record when your space is quiet and outdoor noise is minimal.

Record in a smaller space with sound-absorbing materials. Large spaces increase echoing.

If possible, avoid spaces with tile or wood flooring.

Add sound-absorbing materials, such as soft window curtains, area rugs, or padded furniture.

Choose a room / space with a blank wall is preferred or green screen, if available.

Always record in the same space room on a project as changing room will cause continuity issues

Conduct sound check and echo test
