Prior to observing
changes to assignments in Moodle 4.5 complete
the following:
- Ensure 'Edit mode' is toggled on in the top right corner of the course page.
- Press the Plus button between any assignment or resource or select the Add an Activity or Resource button at the bottom of a section.Or
- In the Add an Activity or Resource menu, go to the Recommended tab and select Assignment.
- Add any instructions required in the New Assignment window:
Moodle 4.5 has introduced a range
of
changes to Assignments which
include:
- New additional attempts settingsIn the New Assignment menu, go to the settings tab and scroll down to Submission Settings.
Expand the Submission
Settings tab and click on the Allowed
Submissions option which is set to
1 as default.
Change the Allowed
Attempts to your preferred
number.
When
more than 1 Allowed Attempts
is selected additional Grant
attempts settings will appear
that
include: Automatic, Manual and Automatically
until pass options.
When satisfied select Save and display.
- New access point to submissions
When Save and display is selected, press the Submissions tab.
This
displays a new access point to student
submissions.
- Improved filters, including:
Search fieldFilter by nameStatusMarking StateAllocated marker - New action footer - Set marking flow state
Select the checkbox in the submission tab beside a student submission (or beside multiple submissions) you want to change the marking flow state.
Select the 3 ellipsis More button and select Change
marking
state.
The tab Set marking workflow state pops up and select Change marking state.
It will pop up with the change marking workflow state for the selected student(s) tab.
Select the required marking workflow state and decide if you want the student(s) to be notified regarding this change. Press Save changes.
When you have saved, select
Advanced filter and select the
corresponding marking state and click Apply, this will enable you to
check that the changes have been applied
to the student(s) Marking workflow
state.
