1. Once the Moodle Attendance Activity is set up, click on the activity in the moodle course page and navigate to the Status Set tab.

  3. This screen allows you see the Acronym, Description and Points automatically applied to the attendance activity. The criteria fields populated are available to update by clicking on the textboxes available.
  4. Acronym, Description and Points fields that are predefined and available to update if needed (Present, Late, Excuse and Absent)
  5. If students are updating their own attendance, and you would like to restrict the timeframe this is open to students, populate the Available for students (minutes) blank textbox fields. This will restrict access to students by a number of minutes from the start of the session. If it is left blank, students will be free to update attendance at any time.

  7. The Automatically set when not marked option is also available to allow users to select one status to be automatically reflected for all students who have not updated their attendances. For example, mark as Absent if they have not updated their attendance record.

  9. Status' can be hidden or deleted by selecting the eye or icon on the right on the relevant status line.

  11. If you wish to add an additional status, populate the blank fields and click on the Add button.
