When adding activities or resources to your new Moodle page you will notice that the activity chooser has a new and improved look and additional functionality.  

To access the activity chooser: 

  1. Click Turn editing on for your course page Edit mode enabled within course page
  2. Then click the link for “Add an activity or resource”  
button to add an activity or resource

The activity chooser has tabs for starred items, activities, resources and recommended items. Activities and resources can also be found using the search feature.

You can now choose to filter your view of activities and resources by: 
  • Starred – any activity or resource you have favourited or wish to frequently use  

  • Activities – Only displays the activity list 

  • Resources – Only displays the resource list 

  • Recommended – Which are activities or resources suggested by the admin of the site 


Each activity or resource has a Star icon, for favouriting and an Information icon which provides additional information for the item.
