A role is a set of permissions that determine what users can
do in a system such as Moodle. The main roles in Moodle are:
Teacher:
(Editing) teachers can do anything within a course, including changing
activities and grading students.
Non-editing Teacher: Non-editing teachers can teach in courses and grade and give feedback to
students but cannot change or add any course resources or activities.
Student: Students
can participate in courses and participate in activities within the course.
They cannot change or add any course resources or activities and can only see
their own grades and feedback.
