If you have requested for your Moodle page to have a Microsoft Team linked, you can share files/asynchronous content to your class group using the Files tab associated to that Team.
 
We would suggest to follow this approach to sharing files when there is a large cohort of students and more than one lecturers associated to the course.

To upload material for your class group to access:

  1. Open your Microsoft Team's App.
  2. Locate your Class Team, For example: Y21_LD903 Test Course 2020-22.
  3. Choose the Files tab

  4. Create a new folder within the files tab and give it a title, for example "Class Materials".

  5. Once the class materials folder is created, you can decide how you wish to structure your material. You can decide to upload all the material into the class materials folder or break it down even more with folders associated to individual lecturer materials.
  6. To upload your material into a Team's folder, either drag and drop the file into the folder space or use the Upload tab. Depending on how you decide to structure your files the same sharing permissions will apply. 


Note: Please ensure your files are fully uploaded to Team's before proceeding to share permissions. 

To share a Team's folder with your class group

  1. Locate the folder in your Class Team that you wish to share with students
  2. Navigate to the right of the folder and click on the three dots, to show actions

  3. Click on Copy Link. You will then be directed to modify the permissions to that folder.
  4. Change the link permissions from "People in your organization with the link" to Specific people. Type in the name of your class group into the search.
  5. Apply the permissions to only this group by clicking ApplyIt is also recommended to disable Allow editing

  6. Once these permissions are applied, to share this resource to Moodle, copy the link and transfer to Moodle as a URL resource. Following the same principals as knowledge base article - How to add an accessible Team's file or OneDrive share link to a Moodle page?


Note: Independent files from a Team's group can also be shared to Moodle, each file would need to have the correct permissions set following the same steps above.
