Microsoft Teams is multi-feature communication and collaboration platform primarily used for institution-based conversation. Microsoft Teams is one of the applications available in Microsoft 365, and can be integrated with any of the Microsoft office applications. Teams allows for impromptu and planned video calls from one-on-one to large cohorts. Pre-planned Meetings hold up to 300 attendees, or Teams Live events up to 10,000. Pre-planned calls, or Meetings, can be created and accessed through your Outlook calendar both in app, and from your Outlook Mail.

Applications/Uses

Some popular uses include: Teaching and Tutorials, and Meetings with small or large cohorts. Teams can also be used to facilitate some key areas of the ABC’s of Learning Design.

         Acquisition – File sharing

         Collaboration - Planning, Shared Files, OneNote/Whiteboard

         Discussion- Video conferencing, Breakout Rooms, Chat feature

         Investigation – interviews, brainstorming sessions with OneNote/Whiteboard

         Production – Team Planning applications, Video and Audio recording
