1. To gain access to courses placed into an archived or frozen status, under the "My Courses" tab change the "In Progress" dropdown to "Past" to see the page.

  2. On your course page, and provided you are using a teacher role, navigate to the "More" dropdown options and select "Download instructor files".

  3. This will download a .zip folder containing your materials to the Downloads area of your computer. (There may be a popup on your browser to automatically take you to this location)

  4. On Windows, if you double click on this .zip folder the contents will open. From there you can hold left click on the item you want to extract and drag it to the Downloads folder as highlighted below

  5. Your item will then be visible in the Downloads folder and you can re-use it on a new Moodle course page

  6. Alternatively, if you are using a Microsoft Windows device, you can right click on your item in the downloads folder and click "Extract All"

  7. This will open a new pop-up window and you just need to click "Extract"

  8. Since the "Show extracted files when complete" option is selected by default, a new folder will promptly open containing all of your content and you can re-use the material as you see fit.
