UDL in Mary Immaculate College
Over Fifty members of MIC staff have signed up to the UDL Digital Badge programme this year, which was developed by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning, AHEAD and UCD Access & Lifelong Learning. The Badge provides participants with a strong introduction to the Universal Design for Learning Framework and gives them the opportunity to implement UDL approaches within their own teaching activities. This year, the UDL digital badge team have teamed up with previously trained UDL badge facilitators to offer this course to 1,000+ participants simultaneously in FET and HE this is the largest national roll out of UDL CPD ever undertaken in Ireland.
The Learning Enhancement and Academic Development (LEAD) centre in MIC provides UDL CPD for all staff.
