The new Turnitin Feedback Studio Standard
Assignment includes a user requested
feature that allows a template file to be
appended to the assignment.
A template may be a useful assessment
tool when providing a structure or
framework for students to follow. As
students can use the same template
resource and complete their required
tasks. The result can be uploaded to
Turnitin for similarity review, grading
and feedback.
The advantages that uploading a template
file provide are:
- The template file can be prepared and
uploaded as part of the Turnitin
assignment ensuring that all students
receive the same version of the
file;
- Students can be pointed to one single
location for the assignment and
template;
- Students can download the template
file and completed it in their own
time;
- On submission, the content of your
template framework is excluded
automatically from the Similarity
Report with the result that only
student work is reviewed.
As an instructor, it is important to heed
the following Template guidelines:
- You should generally comply with Turnitin
- File
Acceptance
