Student
Guidelines for Participation in
Synchronous
Learning
Activities
During
the semester, in addition to self-paced or
asynchronous learning activities, students
may be invited to participate in ‘live’ or
synchronous classes. When in a remote learning
environment, many
of us are learning and teaching in a
variety of personal contexts which we
might wish to keep private. In MIC we wish
to foster remote learning communities
which are respectful of personal contexts
and boundaries. The below guidelines
have been developed to inform and advise
students of standards and norms that
are required when participating in an
online class and engaging with all
members of the Institute community.
Students in breach of these guidelines
will
be subject to disciplinary procedures
outlined in the Student
Code of Conduct.
