Multiple choice questions in Quiz
permit learners to select one or more correct
answers from a list of options.
- Ensure Edit mode is toggled on in the top right corner of your course page.
- Navigate and click on the Quiz assignment you wish to add a multiple choice question to.
- Click the Questions tab.
- Select the Add button and click a new question.
- Check Multiple choice and click Add.
- Provide a question name and question description for your multiple choice question. Decide the status of this question type to stay in draft or be ready.
- Provide default mark for the question which is advised to be set to 1 and provide any general feedback for the question if required. This also permits you to assign whether you want one or multiple correct answers for this question. It is also advised to check shuffle questions to randomise question order for each participant and number the choices can be a personal choice.
- Provide an answer for each choice and assign a grade for each answer. You can provide feedback for any participant that selects this choice. Configure single or multiple answers by providing percentages to each option. Do this for the total amount of choices required.
- There are further settings by expanding Combined feedback that appears based on 'correct response', 'partially correct response' and 'incorrect response'.
- Expand the Multiple tries tab to add hints to your quiz. Add to the hints text and decide on the penalty for each incorrect try. The student can click on 'Show hint' when attempting the question.
- Ensure to select Save changes and you can preview the question created.
