Archiving of Pages from Past Academic Years

Pages and Modules form past academic years are archived within the MIC Moodle platform. Once an Academic Year has concluded and is closed, which for Moodle purposes happens on the last Saturday of August, pages and modules for that academic year are placed in an archived or locked state for record purposes. While it is possible to access and review these pages if you have worked on them, further use for teaching, further editing or the addition of users is no longer possible.

Accessing course pages from a past Academic Year
To avoid causing confusion when the new academic year starts, all past pages are archived and moved from being ‘In Progress’ to being ‘Past’ courses. This ensures that past pages do not clutter work in the current year.
To access 'Past' pages, from the Moodle My Courses page, use the Timeline filter dropdown (indicated below) to switch between ‘In Progress’ or current modules and ‘Past’  to view archived pages.

Remember: Return the Timeline filter choice to In progress when you have finished reviewing Past pages so you can see those that are current.

To protect the integrity of the course records, archived courses will become Read-only. This is to ensure that no inadvertent changes are made and that students cannot submit assignments by accident.

Academic staff can continue to access and download materials on pages when required.
