The following steps will assist you to
enrol on an MIC Moodle module.
Before starting, ensure that you
have the following three items:
- A valid and active MIC staff or
student account, or that you
have been registered to use MIC
Moodle;
- Either the name or title of the
module or page to which you
plan to enrol, or a URL for the
module; and
- The Self-enrolment Key provided
by the module leader.
To enrol on an MIC Moodle
module or page:
- Access the MIC Moodle Platform using a recommended browser and log in to https://moodle.mic.ul.ie/ using your email address and password.
- If you have been provided with a direct URL link, use this in the address bar of your browser and jump to step 6.If you do not have a direct URL, continue with the next step.
- Select My Search from the Menu Bar to open the Courses search tool for MIC Moodle.
- Enter the name or title of the module or page to which you want to enrol in the search field and click the Search button.
- Matching modules and pages will be displayed for the name or title you searched. Make sure you click on the correct module, paying attention to the year information as there may be several versions. If you do not see a correct match, please check the name or title with the module leader.
- When the selected module page opens, scroll to the bottom to locate the field titled Enrolment Key. Enter the Self-enrolment Key provided by the module leader.It is recommended to copy and paste the enrolment key as it is making sure not to add any additional spaces or characters.If you must type the Self-enrolment Key, pay close attention to capitalisation and special characters.
- Click the Enrol Me button to submit the Self-enrolment Key and access the module.
- You should now be presented with the
module homepage.
