A SCORM package stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model. Finalised Articulate Storyline e-learning content are published as a SCORM package or file to ensure the e-learning course and the VLE (Moodle) communicate with each other to enable students to engage in the e-learning along with reporting and tracking activity in Moodle.

In advance of publishing a SCORM file, ensure to:

  • Preview the entire Articulate Storyline Package
  • Set up Reporting and Tracking Options

To publish a SCORM file:

  1. Navigate to the Home menu and click on the Publish button available in the Publish menu.Image with Publish button highlighted
  2. Select on LMS / LRS from the tab panel on the left.
  3. Review Title field and update if necessary
  4. Specify the destination folder for the published files. This should be local to your PC or laptop.
  5. Set LMS Output option to SCORM 1.2
